Christchurch Postnatal Course
A gentle space to feel supported, connected, and confident in early motherhood
This Māmā & Me circle is gently guided by the work of The Nurture Revolution by Greer Kirshenbaum.
In the first three years, your baby’s brain is developing at an incredible pace - and the nurture you provide plays a powerful role in shaping their lifelong wellbeing. At the same time, you are moving through your own huge transition, where support and care deeply matter for your mental health too.
Over 8 small, 90-minute gatherings, you’ll be supported in understanding the science of nurture in a way that feels practical, reassuring, and real.
A space to feel held, build confidence in your instincts, and connect with other mums — while growing lifelong health for both you and your baby
A warm, nurturing space where you can:
Deepen your connection with your baby
Feel grounded and supported as a new mum
Learn simple, science‑backed ways to support lifelong wellbeing for both of you.
What happens each week?
Each 90-minute gathering is gently structured and intentionally slow.
You can expect:
A nourishing practice just for you
A gentle practice to connect with your baby
One health‑promoting topic, explained simply
Space to share, ask questions, or just listen
There is no pressure to talk, perform, or have anything figured out. You and your baby are welcome exactly as you are.
And between sessions, you'll be able to reach out for support via our private Slack group.
What you’ll learn
Across eight weeks, we explore:

FAQs
Can I do this even if this isn't my first baby?
Absolutely! Each time you go through the transition of motherhood, you will experience a shift.
These circles will help you gain a greater understanding of how you have worked through each shift with a compassionate lens.
When should I book?
We highly recommend booking your spot in our Christchurch Postnatal course as soon as you are able to.
Due to the nature of the course, the groups are purposely small.
Securing your place early ensures you'll have a seat reserved and won't be disappointed by any last-minute availability issues.
When should I attend the Nurture Neuroscience Māmā & Me Circle?
Māmās may want to start at 4-6 weeks postpartum or after a few months.
You want to attend before your babe starts moving so you can truly relax and feel present for the sessions.
However, if you think that this is precisely what you need and your little person is starting to become active, get in touch!
Where are the postnatal classes held?
These sessions are held at Opawa Baptist Church in St Martins. Here we have a warm, cosy, carpeted space - perfect for babes and Māmās.
How much does it cost?
