Christchurch Postnatal Course
A gentle space to feel supported, connected, and confident in early motherhood
This is 8 weeks of steady, supportive guidance through the newborn phase and beyond — so you’re not left wondering what happens next just as things start to change.
You might have expected tiredness.
You might have expected feeding challenges.
You might even have expected a bit of overwhelm.
But what you didn’t expect was this feeling of:
“Is this normal?”
“Why does no one talk about this?”
“Am I doing something wrong?”
“Why does this feel so hard when everyone said it would be beautiful?”
If that’s where you are right now, you’re not alone. And more importantly. You don’t have to figure it out alone, either.
What happens each week?
Each 90-minute gathering is gently structured and intentionally slow, with purposely small group numbers to create a safe, intimate space where you can exhale, ask questions, and feel truly supported.
This isn’t a checklist of baby care instructions.
This is a real-life, honest, deeply supportive postnatal course designed for parents in Christchurch who want:
to understand their baby
to feel calmer and more confident
to stop second-guessing everything
and to feel like themselves again (even in tiny moments)
Think of it as your weekly reset + reality check + reassurance space, all in one.
You’ll also have access to a private WhatsApp group for ongoing support between sessions — a space to ask questions, share what’s coming up, or reach out quietly one-on-one when you need it most.

FAQs
Can I do this even if this isn't my first baby?
Absolutely! Each time you go through the transition of motherhood, you will experience a shift.
These circles will help you gain a greater understanding of how you have worked through each shift with a compassionate lens.
When should I book?
We highly recommend booking your spot in our Christchurch Postnatal course as soon as you are able to.
Due to the nature of the course, the groups are purposely small.
Securing your place early ensures you'll have a seat reserved and won't be disappointed by any last-minute availability issues.
When should I attend the Māmā & Me Circle?
Māmās may want to start at 4-6 weeks postpartum or after a few months.
You want to attend before your babe starts moving so you can truly relax and feel present for the sessions.
However, if you think that this is precisely what you need and your little person is starting to become active, get in touch!
Where are the postnatal classes held?
These sessions are held at Opawa Baptist Church in St Martins. Here we have a warm, cosy, carpeted space - perfect for babes and Māmās.
How much does it cost?
Introductory price of $299 for the whole course (8 weeks).
