Infant Sleep Coaching NZ
Helping exhausted parents better understand infant sleep so your whole family can rest.
At Beautiful Beginnings, I offer infant and toddler sleep coaching for families with children aged 0–3 years, grounded in biologically normal sleep, nervous-system safety, and evidence-based guidance — without cry-it-out, rigid schedules, or one-size-fits-all plans.
Whether you’re navigating frequent night waking, short naps, early mornings, or toddler bedtime battles, this support is about understanding what’s going on beneath the surface and finding a way forward that feels calm, connected, and sustainable for your family.
Sleep shifts and changes as your child grows — it’s not a linear journey. And if you’re needing support, especially amidst social media’s unrealistic ideas, I’m here to walk alongside you.

Who is this infant sleep support for?
Your baby or toddler wakes frequently overnight
Naps feel unpredictable or stressful
Bedtime feels long, emotional, or chaotic
You’re unsure what "normal" sleep is for your child’s age
You feel overwhelmed by conflicting sleep advice
You want help without sleep training or leaving your child to cry
I support families with:
Newborns (0–12 weeks)
Infants (3–12 months)
Toddlers (1–3 years)
Every stage comes with its own challenges — and your child’s sleep deserves to be looked at in context, not as a problem to fix.
My approach to infant & toddler sleep.
Sleep is not a skill your child needs to be taught.
It’s a developmental process influenced by biology, temperament, connection, environment, and nervous system regulation.
My approach is:
Gentle and responsive
Attachment-aware
Evidence-based
Trauma-informed
Real-life practical
We focus on:
Understanding your child’s sleep patterns and cues
Supporting regulation and connection (day and night)
Adjusting routines without rigidity
Reducing pressure and stress around sleep
Helping you feel confident responding to your child
No cry-it-out.
No controlled crying.
No, “just be consistent, and they’ll learn.

What to expect
After booking, you'll be sent a questionnaire to complete at least a week before our Zoom. This will take around 20-30 minutes to complete, but this detail gives me a clear insight into how I can best help you and your family.
The session will be via Zoom and will take approximately 1.5 hours. Following our time together, I'll write up your clear Nurtured Sleep Guide. This will include the ideas we discussed on Zoom, along with any additional resources I think will be valuable to you.
We will then have a second Zoom meeting, approximately 45 minutes to discuss how your fortnight has been and any additional changes you may want to work on, such as introducing a new caregiver to support babe's sleep.
Will this fix all my sleep issues?
Full disclosure: no. Sleep is a developmental milestone just like walking. What I can help you with is to support you in recognising and creating opportunities for your babe (and you) to get sleep. Not just for this progression but for life.
I don't live in Christchurch can I still work with you?
I’m based in Christchurch, and work with families all over Aotearoa New Zealand via online consultations.
If you’re in:
Christchurch
Auckland
Wellington
Dunedin
or anywhere else in NZ
…you can access the same calm, connected sleep support from your own home.
Is this sleep training?
No. I don’t use cry-it-out, controlled crying, or methods that rely on leaving children to distress alone. This is responsive sleep support grounded in infant and toddler development.
Will this stop night waking?
Night waking is normal for babies and toddlers — especially under 3. The goal is to improve sleep opportunities, reduce disruption where possible, and help you understand why your child wakes and how to respond with confidence.
What if my child is highly sensitive or strong-willed?
Temperament matters. Your child isn’t “difficult” — they’re communicating. We work with who your child is, not against them.
