Christchurch Postnatal Course

Nurture Neuroscience Māmā & Me Circle

A Christchurch Postnatal Course that isn't just surface chat

One thing I find myself saying often to new mums is this: there is so much pressure to feel like you should be doing this more calmly, more confidently, or with it all figured out.

But the truth is, the early months are meant to be tender.

Babies aren’t designed to be independent at the beginning. Their brains are growing at an incredible rate, and they grow best through nurture — through being held, responded to, and soothed.

And what’s spoken about far less is that mothers are changing too.

Your brain is shifting. Your nervous system is adjusting. Becoming a mother is a huge developmental process, and when mums are supported during this time, their wellbeing and confidence grow in powerful ways.

This is why I’ve created the Nurture Neuroscience Māmā & Me Circle — a calm, supportive postnatal space in Christchurch for mums and their babies in the early months. It’s a place to come just as you are, slow things down, ask questions, and feel held by gentle, evidence-based support and other mums who truly get it.

There’s no pressure to perform, no expectations to “fix” anything — just care, connection, and nurture for both you and your baby.

If this sounds like something your heart has been quietly looking for, you can learn more and save your spot below.

FAQs

Can I do this even if this isn't my first baby?

Absolutely! Each time you go through the transition of motherhood, you will experience a shift.

These circles will help you gain a greater understanding of how you have worked through each shift with a compassionate lens.

When should I book?

We highly recommend booking your spot in our Christchurch Postnatal course as soon as you are able to.

Due to the nature of the course, the groups are purposely small.

Securing your place early ensures you'll have a seat reserved and won't be disappointed by any last-minute availability issues.

When should I attend the Nurture Neuroscience Māmā & Me Circle?

Māmās may want to start at 4-6 weeks postpartum or after a few months. You want to attend before your babe starts moving so you can truly relax and feel present for the sessions. However, if you think that this is precisely what you need and your little person is starting to become active, get in touch!

Where are the postnatal classes held?

These sessions are held at Te Ara Sophia in St Martins. Here we have a warm, cosy, carpeted space - perfect for babes and Māmās.

How much does it cost?

Introductory price of $305 for the whole course (10 weeks).

What will I learn?

I'd prefer to learn online? Is this an option?
